Grammy-Nominated Artists Christina Milian and Leona Lewis and Actress Zulay Henao Join Season Two of Sony Crackle Original Drama Series ‘The Oath’
Culver City, CA, June 26, 2018 -- Sony Crackle announced today that Grammy-nominated artists Christina Milian and Leona Lewis and actress Zulay Henao (“Meet the Blacks 2”) will join the cast of season two of its original drama series “The Oath,” from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his G-Unit Film and Television Inc. and creator/executive producer Joe Halpin. Additionally, actor and director Kevin Connolly will guest star and direct multiple episodes for the gritty drama series. Production for season two of “The Oath” has commenced in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“The Oath”
explores a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend
and sheds light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly
impossible to join. Only a select few make the cut—but once inside,
members will do what they must to protect each other from enemies on the
outside and from within their own ranks. Season two of the
action-packed drama finds the Ravens trying to free themselves from
their debt to the cartel. The season will examine themes of family and
redemption,
giving the characters a chance to reclaim their lives as their own,
pushing them to find a new path and attempting to conquer their inner
demons – all while trying to protect their own lives in the process.
Christina Milian
joins as series regular Christine Parks, a second-generation Raven (her
father was one of the gang's original founders) and Kraley's partner.
She grew up admiring her dad and wants to follow in his footsteps.
Milian is represented by WME, Link Entertainment, Milian Management, and
Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Binder & Christopher.
Leona Lewis
recurs as Amber Hall, daughter of Pastor Greg, who grew up surrounded
by the violence in her neighborhood. Presently, she works as a doctor at
the local hospital, doing what she can for those in the community that
look up to both her and her father. Leona is represented by CAA.
Zulay Henao recurs as Carmen Velasquez, the older sister of Ricardo and daughter of Ignacio who, after living most of her life surrounded by violence, is trying to move the family toward a legitimate business. Zulay is represented by Gladys Gonzalez of John Carrabino Management, APA and attorney Rick Genow.
Kevin Connolly
guest stars as James Hoke, a former radio car partner to Karen Beach
(Katrina Law), who now works in Internal Affairs, and brings some
troubling news to her and the Ravens’ attention.
Christina Milian, Leona Lewis, Zulay Henao and Kevin Connolly join the returning ensemble cast featuring Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood”) also a producer, Cory Hardrict (“The Outpost,” American Sniper,”), Katrina Law (“Sacred Lies, “Training Day”), and J.J. Soria (“Animal Kingdom,” “The Fosters”).
Also returning for season two are: Elisabeth Röhm (“Law & Order,” “The Last Ship”) as Agent Aria Price, Michael Malarkey (“The Vampire Diaries”) as Foster, Isaac Keys (“Get Shorty”) as G, Andrew Howard (“The Outpost,” “Hell on Wheels)” as Kraley, Kim Delaney (“Chicago Fire”) as Abigail Beach, LaToya Tonodeo (“The Fosters”) as Tara Byrd, and Braulio Castillo as cartel lawyer Victor Moreno and father to Lourdes, who is portrayed by Isabel Arraiza (“Driven”).
Additionally, Kevin Connolly will direct multiple episodes along with Jeff T. Thomas (“Blindspot,” “Wayward Pines”), who directed the pilot and Scott Mann
(“Heist”). This is Connolly’s second collaboration with Sony Crackle.
Most recently, he directed episodes of the original series “Snatch,”
which will return to the streaming network for a second season in
September 2018. Connolly is represented by UTA and 3 Arts.
Last year, production on “The Oath”
was halted by hurricanes Irma and Maria, but was able to return to the
island in the fall to complete filming on season one. Sony Crackle has a
long history of shooting in Puerto Rico starting in 2013 with the
original series “Cleaners,” continuing with three seasons of their
techno-infused thriller “StartUp” and most recently, “The Oath.” The
network continues to contribute to Puerto Rico’s economic recovery by
creating job opportunities for the island’s film community.
Created by Joe Halpin
(“Hawaii Five-O,” “Secrets and Lies”), a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Department deputy in South Central for 17 years, 12 of which as an
undercover officer, the series takes an unforgiving look at the
complicated dynamics in these organizations and documents the lives of
those willing to risk it all, to have it all. “The Oath” is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his G-Unit Film & Television Inc., Dennis Kim, Todd Hoffman, Anne Clements, and Joe Halpin who is also creator, writer and showrunner. Ryan Kwanten and Frances Lausell return as producers along with co-executive producer Jeff T. Thomas.

In
2005, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson founded the production company, G-Unit

various platforms. Jackson has quickly sold a myriad of projects to
various networks. Among these is the critically-acclaimed #1 show on

projects for the network, including “Tomorrow,
Today,” based on a screenplay penned by Jackson and the “BMF” project.
Additional credits include the variety show “50 Central” on BET,
SundanceTV’s critically acclaimed series “Dream School” and two dramas
for Sony Crackle “The Oath,” the networks most-watched new original
series and "RPM,” which is currently in development. Jackson’s
